Credentialing Process

Read all of the below information and qualifications for this position. Apply using the driver application on this page.

If you are approved, someone will get back to you with more information on the position, and will also set up a time for a phone (or in-person) interview with a manager.

After the interview, you will move on to sign some documents and complete your drug test.

Next, you will complete certification courses in Defensive Driving, Passenger Assistance, Medicaid compliance, and CPR/First Aid. Upon completion, you will provide us with pictures of your vehicle and we will set you up on the driver app to be put on the schedule. We will provide you with company signage for your vehicle.

Now you are ready to drive! We will help you and guide you through on your first day.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.

  • Must be able to pass background check, and

  • not be on any state or federal Sex Offender Registry, and

  • not have ever been convicted of any felony, crime, and/or misdemeanor.

  • Must carry current Florida driver's license.

  • Must be able to pass MVR and,

  • not have ever been convicted of DUI, OWI, or reckless driving,

  • have no more than (2) moving violations in the last 3 years, and

  • have no more than (1) chargeable accident in the last 3 years.

  • Must be in legal possession of Florida registered vehicle and,

  • vehicle must be 10 years old or newer, 

  • vehicle must have 4 doors (NO trucks/pickup trucks or 2-door vehicles. Must be sedan, SUV, or van/minivan), and

  • vehicle must pass inspection and be in clean and good operating condition.

  • Must be in possession of a smartphone (Android or Apple) to utilize the required app for scheduling.

More Information:

You will be working as an independent contractor (1099) under this position, meaning you will be responsible for providing your own vehicle, buying fuel, and ensuring routine maintenance is done on the vehicle.

 

It takes time to build up your route and clientele. The first few weeks may be slow depending on your area and demand for trips. 

 

The pay rate is paid per "loaded mile" per patient, from the point you pick up the patient to the point you drop them off. Pay rate is discussed during the interview.

 

Multi-loaded trips are trips where you transport multiple patients from the same area to the same destination. You are paid for each patient you transport. Additional passengers riding as companions do not fall under the category of a patient or member. A patient/member is someone who has an appointment, and the trip is authorized under their name.
